Leadership Scouting doesn't just happen of course! Trained leaders while having fun themselves at Joey, Cub, Scout and Venturer nights and on camps spend an hour or two each week preparing so things go smoothly. As mentioned at closing parades recently and detailed in the letter sent home (and also attached to this email) we are in dire need of additional leaders for all of our section teams. No leader is expected to be available every week, we need some parents to volunteer to have fun yourself while ensuring your son or daughter continues to be able to enjoy Scouting. Please give this careful consideration, we all have busy lives, but with a minimum sized team of four leaders the load becomes much easier for everyone and the variety of activities our kids can do increases..... its a win win! Please talk to Scott Barnes (0428 379 281) or David Smith (0419 434 306) for more details of what is involved, and rest assured professional training is provided and while a leader gives of their time there is no financial cost to the leader and as an added bonus leaders children enjoy half price membership! |
