Please bring $5 to cover pumpkins etc. and give to your PL

Parent helpers:  Primmer and Twyford (you're welcome to come "dressed" as well!)

-          Family Camp – THIS WEEKEND!!!

-          Upcoming Water Activities

-          Signing In

-          Parking at the Hall

Parent Helpers

Parent helpers are critical to us being able to deliver programs while we continue to seek additional leaders. If you are unavailable please organise a swap with another parent and let one of the leaders know in advance. Leaders will be endeavouring to contact parent helpers several days before the troop meeting to share details of the program and ask for assistance with specific activities.

Looking forward to family camp this weekend?

At least 50 people are, and it's still possible to register to come if you haven't already. Go to our group website (www.belmontscouts.org.au) and click on the link "Family Camp @ Treetops" for details, then at the bottom of the webpage is another link to register. (http://www.belmontscouts.org.au/News-Updates/familycamptreetops)

Upcoming water activities:

  1. Region Regatta (including camp, see attached flyer) – Nov 15 at Indented Heads – canoeing, kayaking – no certificates required.
  2. Canoe courses: Nov 29, Dec 1, 2 – kayak at Boggy Creek – limited to 10
  3. Canoe course:  Dec 6,7,8 – Geelong Canoe (16), Kayak (5)
  4. Canoe trip – Dec 13,14,15 – Glenelg River – limited to 12 Scouts

If you are interested in any of these, please email Nicole (nicole@belmontscouts.org.au)!

Signing In
Just a friendly reminder that
Scout parents are required to sign kids in and out for each meeting whether in the hall or at another location.

Parking at the Hall
For our children’s safety and in consideration of the neighbours, please park on the hall side of Rugby St ONLY (west) and do not block driveways when dropping of or picking up. Yes this means that it’s better to come into Rugby St from Watsons Ave or Queen St end only - rather than U turning.

Alternative parking for leaders and parent helpers is available in Carlisle St (the dead end lane opposite the hall).  Of course walking and cycling in this great weather is better for you and the environment and is living by the Scout Law!
